Supporting vulnerable women and orphans in the Kavango

The project will focus on women, mostly widow with children, whom will look after other orphans. The idea is to develop a sort of “common hall”, in few selected villages where the widows will, with the support of Catholics Aids, look after those orphans providing them food, shelter and education; in order to make the project somehow self sustainable, a part from registering the orphans and obtaining in this way the government support, a vegetable garden and a poultry farm will develop, that will provide booth food for the women and orphans and a sort of small income for the women and those youth from the village who will work in the garden and poultry. The same system developed for the Mururani gardening and poultry project will be developed.
